Rodney Root started his career in the foundry industry in 1982 and is experienced from pattern making and tooling design, to operations and sales management. Rodney began R&M Sales in 1992, working with OEM’s by providing engineering and manufacturing process direction in both plastics and metal casting industries. Our company has grown to 8 full-time employees, providing national and global coverage for our customers.

Mari Root brings with her extensive experience in supply chain management and joined the Company in 2000. Mari is responsible for supply chain management, customer service, and accounting functions and serves as Secretary/Treasurer for R&M Sales.

Melanie Johnson has been in the foundry business for over twenty years experience in both manufacturing, customer service, and sales positions. Melanie is highly experienced in understanding the challenges of many industries and specializes in developing an approach that has awarded her the privilege of working alongside many of the top manufacturers in their industries and joined R&M Sales in 2016.

Frank was born and educated in the UK where he served in the Royal Navy and also as an engineer at Rolls Royce Ltd. Frank has spent the last twenty-five years in the US manufacturing sector and joined R&M Sales in 2012.

Jennifer Phillips is the Office Manager for R&M Sales providing transportation, inside sales, and customer service including order tracking. Jennifer provides invaluable customer communications and helps to keep our office running smoothly and has been with R&M Sales since 2009.

Steve Beard has an extensive background in both metals and manufacturing. Steve is highly experience in providing technical assistance, expediting, inventory management, and sales management and has been with R&M Sales since 2014.

Philip Root began his foundry related work experience working part time at a disamatic foundry while he was attending college at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL.

After college, Phil worked for a company that sourced many different types of plastic injection molded parts. He was responsible for engineering the tooling and helping develop that company's new plastic product lines from concept to final production.

Since joining R&M Sales, Inc., Phil has developed a new product line of entertainment audio aids for hearing impaired called the "Chairspeaker". This product is being marketed under our subsidiary company, KARE LLC, and has a heavy presence on Amazon and KARE's website. Phil was responsible for the engineering of this product from concept thru patent process and full production, and is presently involved in the day to day marketing of this and other compatible products still in development stages.

In addition, Phil works with present and new customers on development of plastic and metal products sourced through R&M Sales and Agri Implements LLC.

Iva joined the R&M Sales Team in May of 2022. She brings to our company over twenty years of business management experience.

Her background of overseeing and monitoring quality of products and services is sure to prove as an asset to our team and as well, enhance our customer satisfaction.

Joined R&M Sales in May 2021 as a staff accountant. She has many years' experience in customer service, accounting and payroll.

She worked as the payroll manager, and as a staff accountant working with fixed assets and inventory at Goodyear in Gadsden for 12 years until the plant closed.
